Apprentices bake for a good purpose

At the end of 2024, the apprentices at Rottendorf Pharma baked cookies again to support a charitable organization. The apprentices handled a total of 100 kilograms of cookie dough, packaged it in bags, and then sold it to their colleagues. This was the 11th time that the youth and apprentices' representatives had organized this campaign. With the sale of the baked treats, the apprentices raised a total of €1,760.60, which the management rounded up to a total of €2,500.

The donation was handed over to the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Regionalverbund Münsterland e. V. (ASB), which will use it to support the “Wünschewagen” project. Since 2018, the “ASB-Wünschewagen” has been fulfilling the wishes of seriously ill people who no longer have much time left in their lives and whose families are unable to afford transportation or where travel is no longer possible without nursing help.

Two members of the youth and apprentices' representatives visited the ASB on site in Münster and handed over the donation check. They were delighted with the donation. Together with an ASB representative, they took a look at the vehicle and discussed the wishes that had been fulfilled.

“The wishes are free of charge for the passengers and accompanying persons and any support helps to make last wishes come true. The service is financed and supported exclusively by donations, ASB's own funds and the indispensable commitment of our volunteers,” said Birgit Bäumer-Borgmann, Project Manager “ASB-Wünschwagen”, in a statement.
