Having a unique company structure and operating under the philosophy of the Total Process Ownership (TPO) service concept as well as under the Total Technological Mastering (TTM) technology expertise concept, Rottendorf became the CDMO with one of the strongest customer alignment in the market and creates significant added value for our customers. Rottendorf neither have own product brands in the market nor is holding any product licenses, and therefore is never in competition with our clients.

Dr. Stephan Fleck

Dr. Stephan Fleck joined Rottendorf in 2009 as Chief Executive Officer of Rottendorf Pharma GmbH in Germany and has since also taken on the position of CEO for Rottendorf Pharma, Inc. in the USA. 

Stephan Fleck has extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and technical operations, having worked within this field of expertise for more than three decades. He began his career at Bayer AG in 1980, moving to the US, joining Bayer Diagnostics in 1998, where he held various leading positions. After 7 years, Stephan Fleck moved back to Germany to take up leading positions in strategic planning, technical operations and product supply areas with Bayer HealthCare. Stephan Fleck has furthermore held the position of Vice President of Technical Operations at a GE Healthcare Life Science division in London and was earlier a member of the DELPHI Group at CERN in Switzerland.

Stephan Fleck holds a degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Aachen (Germany), a degree in Physics from the University of Wuppertal (Germany) and a PhD in Engineering from the University of Magdeburg (Germany).

Bruno Buss

Bruno Buss has more than 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical and food supplement industries.

He joined Rottendorf in December 1994 as our Head of Formulation Development.

At and prior to Rottendorf he was in various responsible positions, e.g. Plant Manager (Production), Product Transfer, Engineering, Formulation and Analytical Method Development of solids (herbal products, effervescent tablets, sustain release products, etc.)

Currently he serves Rottendorf as Senior Director Product Performance and as Deputy of CEO.

Uwe Roesener

Director Finance

Uwe Roesener

Uwe Roesener joined the Rottendorf Group in 2009. As CFO, he is responsible for the areas of finance, controlling, accounting and procurement. Prior to joining Rottendorf Uwe Rösener held leading controlling and accounting positions in manufacturing companies of the telecommunication and automotive industry. Throughout his career, he was able to gain extensive international work experience.

Uwe Rösener holds a degree in business administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen (Germany) and the Leeds Metropolitan University in Leeds (UK).

Dr. Christian Gausepohl

Senior Director Quality Unit

Dr. Christian Gausepohl

With almost 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry Christian Gausepohl works as Senior Director of the Quality Unit and as a Qualified Person. Prior to this function he headed the Quality Assurance and Quality Control units. Before he served in different senior positions heading transfer and validation activities. Formerly, he worked as a production manager for oral dosage forms.

Mr. Gausepohl is a pharmacist and has a PhD in analytical chemistry from the University of Muenster, Germany.

Dr. Silke Huster

Dr. Silke Huster

Silke Huster joined Rottendorf in 2007. After serving Rottendorf in different leading positions, since 2017 she holds the positions as Rottendorf’s Senior Director Product Supply. Prior to joining Rottendorf, Silke Huster held leading IT positions mainly in the IT industry. Throughout her career, she gained extensive international work experience.

Silke Huster holds a degree in chemistry and a PhD in chemistry from the University of Bielefeld (Germany).

Elke Hermschroeder

Director Human Resources

Elke Hermschroeder

Ms Hermschroeder assumed responsibility as the head of HR at Rottendorf Pharma in September 2014. Ms Hermschroeder has many years of experience in the field of HR. In addition to offering personnel support as regards our specialists and executive staff, the trained human resources professional is also responsible for staff recruitment and trainings within our company. Prior to this, Ms Hermschroeder was employed as the team leader and deputy HR manager in an international direct selling company.

Dr. Kevin Kiehm

Director Product Development

Dr. Kevin Kiehm

With more than 7 years experience in the development of solid dosage forms, Mr. Kiehm joined Rottendorf Pharma in 2014 as Director Product Development.

Prior to joining Rottendorf, he served in various positions including section head of formulation development at Merz Pharmaceuticals GmbH and head of pharmaceutical and analytical development at B.Braun group. Mr. Kiehm is a registered pharmacist and holds a PhD in pharmaceutical technology.

Gema Moreno Cobo

Gema Moreno Cobo

Gema Moreno Cobo joined Rottendorf Pharma in August 1989 and has worked in several positions within the Sales Organisation at Rottendorf Pharma. With more than 25 years of sales experience at Rottendorf she is now heading Rottendorf's Business Relations Department since 2015. Within this position she is in charge of all commercial topics and your first contact person for all new enquiries on new projects you would like to discuss with Rottendorf Pharma. Mrs Gema Moreno Cobo has a commercial education as professional background.

Rottendorf’s Code of Conduct states the expectations Rottendorf has as an employer towards employees and sets forth the standards for our business behaviour.
